Our Mission:

LIFE AMONG THE NATIONS EXISTS TO GLORIFY GOD AT ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY BY PROCLAIMING THE GOSPEL, MAKING LIFE-LONG DISCIPLES OF JESUS CHRIST, AND BUILDING UP THE LOCAL CHURCH, BOTH HERE AND AROUND THE WORLD.

Glorify God

We believe that God is the all-powerful, all-wise, loving, merciful, righteous, and just Creator of the universe. His perfection, greatness, and splendor is  summarized by one word - glory. The purpose of all things created by God, including people, is  to point to His great glory (Rom 11:36, 1 Cor 10:31). To that end, The Mill exists so that God would be glorified and praised. We commit to proclaiming His glory  through all our efforts, so that many would come to know and adore God’s glory through salvation.

Arizona State University (ASU)

ASU is one of the largest universities in the country. ASU also possesses one of the largest international student populations of any university in the U.S., with students from over 120 different countries. many of the students have never fully heard or understood the gospel and some are even from countries where Christianity faces persecution. We desire to reach these college students with the hopes of seeing gospel transformation and global church impact.

Proclaiming  The Gospel

We believe that the gospel is not defined as positive thinking, or a form of moralism. Rather, the core message that the Bible proclaims is that all people are in need of rescue from the wrath of God for their sin, and that through faith in the world Jesus Christ, all can be saved and have peace and life with God for forever. The truth of the gospel is not something that we simply acknowledge once in our life, but rather it is a truth that affects every person, every day. Everyone is dependent on God's grace in every aspect of life, so we seek to proclaim this truth in all that we do including evangelism, teaching, and relationships.

Life-long Disciples

Our desire is that student's lives are dramatically changed through faith in the gospel- not simply to have students agree with the Bible or show a preference towards Christianity. And as an outworking of their faith, we desire to see them obey Jesus' command to "follow me" (Mark 8). As we labor to this end, we commit to faithfully and accurately teaching the Scriptures and to allowing God's word to produce change. We also seek to encourage students by equipping them with different skills, intentional relationships, and meaningful church membership, with the hope that they would do the same with others in their lives, no matter where they are.

Local church

We believe that God's glorious plan will be revealed through the church (Ephesians 3:10) and he will be glorified in the church (Ephesians 3:21) and in Christ. Until the final day when the Lord brings heave to earth and collects all his believers, he displays his Kingdom, his love, and his gospel through his people gathered in local churches (Matthew 5:14-16). Therefore, Life Among The Nations submits itself under he authority of Church On Mill, a gospel-centered church, and is inextricably united with its beliefs, mission, and people.
